Today is one of those days that I REALLY want to talk about work, but it's a secret until we get another 44 Likes. Let's just say...I worked my tail off, and am very proud of myself.
Did I mention I worked my tail off?
When I wasn't at work, I was working on a little somethin', somethin' that the lovely Jess, inspired.
Have you ever participated in Smell the Roses?
I think it's so cute and that we all have to remember to enjoy life.
We need people like Jess to give us those small reminders that can sometimes make a huge impact.
When I saw this weeks topic, I just knew that I had to participate:
"I've had the task as write a letter to your younger self before, but I think it would be awesome if we all handwrite ourselves a letter and seal it up for 5 years. Imagine reading it in 5 years...think of all the things that will have changed and that you will have accomplished. It's like a mini-time capsule type thing!"- Jessica, Lovely Little Things
Dear Me, Five Years Older,
I'm not going to lie...I have no idea where you will be or what you will be doing.
What I do know, is that you will still be in love with a man better than your wildest dreams.
The Army may station you anywhere in the world, but no matter what...
You will still be in Will's arms at the end of the day.
Where he is, will always be your home.
Up until this point (2012), your life has always made the correct paths easy to decipher.
I hope that by 2017, a career or direction will have presented itself to you, but if not-
you better have popped out some kids or made your blog lucrative.
I'm fine with either outcome.
If you do pop some out, I hope that you enjoy every moment with them, and appreciate the father that I know Will is going to be. I have seen him with kids, and he would be even better with "ours".
Weiser says not to be as smothering as I am with him.
He says that he knows you will be a great mom IF you relax.
I also hope that you are still a loving and caring wife, even though everyone says the honeymoon will end. I honestly believe that you will be smitten with Will for the rest of your life, and there is nothing wrong with that. I hope you continue to fall in love with him more each day, as I do now.
As for the rest of the world:
I'm kind of scared...
Maybe it won't be as bad as I think, but if it is-
I totally give you permission to move to an island with Will.
I think a diet of coconut, banana, and fish sounds fabulous, as a matter of fact.
No matter what, stay as happy, healthy, and compassionate as you are now.
It's taken a lot of growing and learning to get where I am now, and I hope that you are an even better person in five years.
No matter what, I want to be proud of the person you become.
I know I expect a lot, but we've got this!

I love the idea of this, especially as a fellow military wife, it is hard to imagine where we will be 5 years from now!
This is such an awesome idea! I love your letter, and I'm sure this will be awesome to look back on in five years. So many wonderful things will have happened that you never could have anticipated. This makes me want to write a letter too!
Thank you so much for linking up, girl :)
So exciting! I love the paper that you wrote your letter on...cute!
And that e-card about the kids not getting spanked...HILARIOUS.
I love your zest for life...you're an inspiration to me, girl!

What a great letter! I think y'all will be great parents!
Awesome letter lady! I love 'where he is will always be your home' :)
That's a great letter to yourself! I love it! I'm always afraid to write a letter to myself, but mostly because of looking back on the past 5 years things have changed drastically, but I'm so happy with my life, that I know that whatever is in the future is sure to be great! Happy Monday!
Great letter! I did something similar to this for my 101 list but I think I'm to open it in 10 years :)
I'm with you! Let's ALL move to an island, Blogger island, and live off the land and just be happy together :) ha ha!
LOVE this letter! Now I want to do one, too!
Cute what a fun idea! I think I'll do it too!
So cute! I also wrote a letter to myself for Smell the Roses. I know you will still be as madly in love with Will as you are right now.
xoxo,

This is so sweet and kinda made me tear up! You have such a great little head on your shoulders. He is SO lucky to have a wife like you!!
I LOVE this! I laughed so hard at the quote about non-spanked kids. I think if I wrote one it would be very similar to yours.
I've been with my man since we were 15 and 9 years on, I still get butterflies. The honeymoon period only ends if you let it!
We get married next October so babies versus making my blog lucrative is definitely on the cards for me in the next 5 years!
How exciting!
Loved reading this post x
