Chatty Cathy Today

Welp, it's Friday morning, and for the first time in a long time, I had nothing previously planned for this post and am flying by the seat of my pants.
Today, I just feel "chatty", so let's chat. Shall we?

First off...Do you remember these?

I wish I still had mine, and it also reminds me of this:

Which leads me to thoughts of Christmas.
{Yes, I know that I have a strange thought path}
I always love the holidays, but this might be the best Christmas EVER, because I will have my lover and we will be home with our whole family! I can't believe that all the "Fowler" kids will be home at one time. This hasn't happened in fifteen plus years, and definitely not with spouses and grandkids in tow. This makes me so excited that I might burst.

Have you ever been to NYC at Christmas time?
If not, put it on your bucketlist. It is like no other...

The other trip I'm looking forward too is Baltimore in October! Flights are officially booked, and I'm giving you all fair warning now in case any of you lovely bloggers want to meet up. I will be in DC and Baltimore, so let's make it happen. I promise we have fun. See here.

Have you seen Snow White And The Huntsman?

Not only was it predictable, it was too dark, and the ending was LAME.
I'm not a Kristen Stewart fan (sue me), so I had a feeling that I wouldn't like it. I made it through to the dwarfs (the part I was looking forward to the most) and then things just got worse.
I KNEW we should have watched We Bought A Zoo, instead.

I can't complain too much, though. I was watching it while eating steak and veggies fresh off the grill at my friend's house. The food was DEFINITELY worth sitting through the movie.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The best part of my week?
I was off on Wednesday, and it was one of those chilly, rainy, wonderfully relaxing days.
I absolutely love snuggling in my bed, watching Murder She Wrote all day, and blogging.
Sounds like a weird combo, but I never claimed to be normal!
So let's recap:
+ Christmas is just around the corner.
+ Let's meet up in Baltimore.
+ We Bought A Zoo = Waaaay better than Snow White And The Huntsman.
+ I'm obviously ready for Fall.
  Now it's time for the freakin' weekend, so party on people!!
As if I didn't 100% love you before...you talk about not liking Kristin Stewart and I get all warm and fuzzy on the inside. I've written an entire post about my feelings on her..and surprisingly--most people feel the same way! Have a great weekend, beautiful!
We're going to NYC in October and suddenly I am sad it's not for Christmas... Aside from my Florida blood, which can not handle the freezing NY temperatures, it really is sooo magical around that time of year. So now I will go Google pictures and pretend it will be Christmas time when we go. Now my thought path is going crazy places and I need to stop. Happy Friday, love!
I have always, always wanted to go to NY at Christmas; it has always seemed so magical to me. I bet you are excited to be able to be with your whole family; a group that large is bound to be a crazy, hectic, fabulous time! I'm glad it's going to happen for you.
Christmas here in NYC is like no other, you are SO right. I love it.
And when are you going to Baltimore?! One of my best friends lives in DC and I was thinking about making a trip down to see her soon.
Being from the Northeast, it definitely is not Christmas unless there is a trip to NYC involved. My friends make fun of me for it because they don't always like to do the touristy thing, but I must see that tree!
I thought Snow White was okay...except for Kristen Stewart. Her acting is just terrible. I did like Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth were pretty good though!
**I did think that Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth were pretty good though! (pet peeve = bad grammar) sorry!
I remember TalkBoys. I wanted one SO bad!!
THe quote about the rain is one of my favorites. I love snuggling on a rainy day (or a snowy day too) :)
Thanks for the heads up on Snow White and the Huntsmen. MG wants to see it and now i have even less motivation for it.
Being in NYC for Christmas has always been on my bucket list. And probably always will be, at least until I finally decide to make the trip. I bet it's just absolutely beautiful.
Christmas time puts me in the best mood. It's just a feeling I get where nothing can upset me.
I haven't seen that movie yet. Not that I'm planning to. I loathe Kristen Stewart. Oops!? :)
Have a great weekend!
I completely forgot about TalkGirls!! Thanks for reminding me. I am so excited for Christmas this year too, mostly because it's the first Christmas Eve I don't have to work in years !!
Oh my goodness, I do remember those!!!! :) We went to NYC in January and would love to go at Christmas. :)
Did you notice in Snow White how she didn't get any of the big monologues? All of the REAL acting was left to everone else! Sounds like a great week! Have a good weekend :)
You and the Mr should PCS to Ft Lewis and then we'll be way close. Like 90 minutes. Just an idea.
I loathe K. Stewart, she's so gross.
Happy Friday gorgeous.
"Go to NYC around Christmas time" actually is on my bucket list! It has been since I was little. -sigh- one day!! I had one of those when I was younger. Only think I remember is recording the cheers off of Bring it On with it. Random! I can't wait for Christmas!! <3
Baltimore sounds so fun :) You HAVE to watch We Bought a Zoo. I didn't think it would be that good, but it was really good!
Haha I love you're rainy day combo...sounds like t kind of day! (except for rosanne instead of murder she wrote) :)
Also! Exactly when are you going to DC? I'm heading there late October to visit a friend!
Ha! I actually really liked snow white and the huntsman. Not a huge Kristen Stewart fan but I still liked it. I liked it better then the one with Charlize Theron although I liked them both. Sounds like you have two awesome trips to look forward too. Plus your man coming home!!
I am not a Kristen Stewart fan either. I never understood the hype around her. She seems like such an unhappy person who doesn't appreciate anything in her life. I don't have time for people like that.
Amanda C. said...
The first thing I thought when I saw that recorder was Home Alone! ha ha
That makes me sad about Snow White and the Huntsmen. I kinda wanted to see it although I don't like Kristen Stewart either.
Hip Hip Hooray for family reunited for Christmas!!!! How awesome is that :) The hubbs and I are going to NYC for Christmas and New Years next year and I couldn't be more excited. NYC is one of my favorite cities!!!!
I wanted to see Snow White and the Huntsman when I heard Charlize Theron was in it, but then Kristen Stewart ruined it for me. I just can't deal with her at all. She looks miserable all the time and her acting is sooo bad. I fell asleep during Twilight and told myself I wouldn't torture myself like that again. We bought A Zoo is an awesome movie though I'd watch it again in a heartbeat!
I can't wait for xmas I will be off for 12 whole days and me and you, friends, I don't care for Kristen Stewart either. I want to wash her hair everytime i see her.
I have no desire to see Snow White and the Huntsman. And don't worry, I'm not a KStew fan either... I can't wait for Christmas, although I don't think that we'll be able to get a tree this year since Louie thinks that all plants need pruning lol.
Snow White and the Huntsman was very dark. My hubby doesn't really like KS either but he said they actually made her look kind of decent in this movie. I'm so ready for Christmas too. My mom took me there at Christmas time back in like 08 I think. We saw the Rockettes Live! Fabulous!
