Things I Should Be Ashamed Of, But I'm Not

Helene in Between

Confessions and guilty pleasures are pretty similar in my book, and this is especially true because I don't feel guilty for anything. Why should we feel guilty for things that make us happy? I guess that's kind of the point of blogging about guilty pleasures; the more we embrace them, the less stigma they have.

Confession
...I may be the only person in the world that DVR's 7th Heaven. I loved the show back in high shool, and I love it even more now. It's like revisiting old friends that you can always laugh and cry with- no judgement. Great life lessons too. Seriously.

...I know that I don't need new clothes or shoes, but I still find reasons to shop. I guess I do feel a little guilty for materialistic reasons, but at least I'm using my allowance and I still sell/donate old clothes too. I wish I could say that this is all of it, but I take up the whole Master closet too. Whoops.

...Hobby Lobby is like crack to me. I walk in those doors and could get lost for hours. Yesterday, I had to stop myself from buying Christmas decorations because I don't even know what I have stored. Talk about jumping the gun.

...I have cut my workouts down to 30 minute at home workouts. I may never see my abs again, but at least I'm consistent. I always go through phases so this could change again, but I'm not complaining. I feel like this is a much more realistic regimen for health vs. unrealistic goals.

...Speaking of never seeing my abs, I have never met a Chimichanga I didn't like. We tried a new Mexican restaurant last week, and even though we were trying to be 'healthy', I ordered the Chimichanga appetizer. Appetizer calories don't count, right?  If you are ever in the Dothan area, check out Cactus Flower for awesome 'California style Mexican'.

The last confession is more of a PSA turned novel. I don't care about the Facebook Messenger hullabaloo, but the Faebook/Instagram  problem is pissing me off. Ever since Facebook bought Instagram I have had a horrible time sharing photos between the two apps. I don't share every photo, so it wasn't a priority to figure it out, but I finally had to sit down and sleuth it out. It's not because you tag people in your photo, it's not something you need to change on Facebook,or any other lame reason I came across. It's within your Instagram settings!

But for reference, I won't be installing the FB Messenger app. I couldn't care less about all the rumors going around, I just don't want to give up more room on my phone for an app I would use once in a blue moon. No thanks. Now you should wish me luck as I try to put my house back in order. I kind of want to go back to work just to pay someone else to clean. Boy that sounds lazy, but maybe one day...one day ;)

Where can you goooooo when the world don't treat you right? The answer is hooooome that's the one place that you'll find 7th Heaven, mmmmm, 7th Heaven.

I so wanted to be Lucy Camden when I grew up!

Love me some 7th Heaven. Such a great show!

A consistent workout is the best workout there is and i'm sure we can still see your abs. Keep rocking out the workouts, lady!

I would love to hear some of your 30 minute workouts. and yes consistency is the key, as long as you are happy its all that matters.

I loved Seventh Heaven. I don't watch it now, but I do still have Newlyweds w/ Jessica Simpson on DVD and I refuse to get rid of it. I haven't watched it in years, but I can't part with it.

I don't feel so bad after seeing your closet!! Thanks for that. I have stopped shopping so much thank goodness. It just had to stop. If you are fit and in shape already 30 min per day is actually just fine. If you had weight to lose probably not so much. I go through phases too. I've been in a weight training gym phase and I can feel myself shifting back to thr home work out video phase.

I felt guilty since I have three closets in my house, thank you for not making me feel guilty! ;) Give me all the Chimichangas!! So good! I am not using the messenger app either, why separate it. Not wasting space.

At least you are still working out thought.

I'm so jealous about how big your closet is! Mine is about 1/5 the size and its packed to the brim!

I feel guilty all of the time for doing things that make me happy. I know that's one thing I should try and do less of, because we all deserve to do something that makes us happy.
I used to watch 7th Heaven all of the time! I'm also a huge Gilmore Girls fan :)
I won't be installing that app either. I wouldn't use it enough and I'm trying to clean out my phone of apps I don't use.

All of these guilty pleasures are making me hungry!

And I still totally love 7th Heaven. One of the happiest shows EVER.

Mark downloaded the messenger app accidentally and hates it. Now he can't go back either.

I so agree on the whole FB messenger thing. But thanks for the tip on Insta! I was wondering why it wasn't working anymore! No judgement on 7th Heaven - I used to act like I didn't like it but try to watch it anyways :) And yep on the shopping. There's always a reason.

I will admit that I am a little envious of your closet! I am having trouble fitting my clothes in our master bedroom closet, but I don't have anywhere else for them to go ha ha. What is the hubbaloo about the messenger app? Also, Facebook bought out Instagram?!

I love Cactus Flower, great choice! :-)

I don't have my Instagram and Facebook accounts linked so no problem there. for the messenger, I don't know what the issue is... As in I never even took the time to learn what people are complaining about. Someone wears a lot of teal....

Aahh, I loved 7th Heaven growing up! I bet I'd still love it today. :)

Also, thanks for the info on the Insta/FB thing! I had trouble getting it to work at one point and then just didn't bother looking at it again, haha! I'll have to fix it now! :)

I used to love 7th Heaven!! I sometimes still watch it.

I see so many people get their panties in a wad about the FB messenger app, but I've been using it for years. Plus, the article people have been sharing is almost a year old. People don't understand that they have to give their phone permission to do those things. I just think it's funny..the ones up in arms about it, yet they are still using FB. Hahaha

I LOVE the app though.
