Will Passed His Test!

TGI...W?
This week, I'm just happy that it's halfway over, because my stress is almost over! Next Tuesday should be my LAST managing shift, so it will be back to 25 hours/week and normalcy. No more stress for Will, no more stress for MEEEEEEE.

+ You might have noticed that I've been talking about Will studying lately. It has basically taken up all his spare time, but hallelujah, it paid off! I think I was more of a wreck than he was waiting for the results. I knew that he would pass, but I also knew that he wanted to score high overachiever. He did extremely well, and hopefully it will help his dreams come to fruition. It's amazing to see him working so hard toward something. Hard work WILL pay off, and no matter what, he is going places ;)

+ It would have been nice to celebrate last night, buuuuut...
A normal job let's your husband come home for dinner. The Army had my husband crawling into bed at 2 or 3AM. - all I know is that I was asleep. Poor thing, I hope he has today off, and at least he's getting to sleep in.

+ I got my costume mostly done for the pageant, and I feel pretty dang crafty. I made angel wings from SCRATCH, like bending wire and e'rythang. That was the last piece of the puzzle, so now I'm pretty much ready for tomorrow. Thank goodness.

+  The last and most annoying, is that I tend to bloat.
And not just the "Omg! I'm so blooooaaattted" where people overeat and blame it on the bloat. I seriously get a ball in my midsection and I HATE it. I have been trying to blame it on anything and everything:

Obviously, I'm not pregnant, so it's time to nail down the culprit.

So here is what I'm doing this week:

1. Going GLUTEN FREE. So far it's WORKING!
2. Cutting back the calories.Trying for somewhere between 1,200-1,500.
3. Avoiding processed, spicy, and anything containing sugar alcohols.
4.No alcohol
5. No gum.

It's only been three days and I'm really seeing and feeling a difference. I hadn't put much stock in the whole Gluten Intolerance thing, but I think I'm jumping on the bandwagon. If anyone is interested in more about my Gluten free results, lemme know. I'll be happy to share!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WILL! You rock dude, you TOTALLY ROCK! GET IT!

I know you are going to rock it out tomorrow miss thang, you are gorgie inside and out and that will SHINE on the stage.

I read that eating asparagus helps with the bloat too.

I have the SAME PROBLEM! :/

I have the SAME issues. I'm 102 lbs soaking wet and when I have to poop, lord help me. Even when I'm bleeding and bloated, my husband questions 'are you sure you're not pregnant?!'

Ugh. Here's my secret. Cardio. I do between 500-700 calories 6 days a week. Water. Lots of water, but make sure you add a shot of gatoraide or pedialyte to keep your electrolytes up. No dairy!! This was a big deal for my bloating. I'm lactose intolerant as well [recently diagnosed] so I just don't do it. Gum is a no no no no no for a long while now. I read it bloats you, over 2 years ago. Keep sugars and salts at a minimum. Protein, lots of it. Oh, and poop! You'll feel better.

I tried going gluten-free for Lent, but gave up after about a month. I had such a hard time staying on track and maintaining a healthy diet; I found myself just not eating because I couldn't find something gluten-free. Which is way worse! So I just adjusted my diet. I'd love to try again someday because I think it has some real health benefits. Good luck!! And congrats to Will!

Congrats to Will!

You look fantastic, BTW! I do not have any personal experience with gluten free, but have a couple of friends who are due to health reasons.

Have a great rest of the week!

I've eaten Gluten free scones before. They were good. Gluten free does not necessarily mean it's healthy or low cal or low fat. And that's about all I know about gluten free! Congrats to Will on passing the test. Good luck in le pageant. I'm sure you will do great.

My husband has celiac so we have a totally GF house - he feel so much better now and it is totally worth it! We love Udi's brand everything! And just remember, as some other said, just because it is GF doesn't mean it is good for you ;) Let me know if you have any questions or if you find any tasty foods!

I'm a firm believer in the gluten free thing! After doing Whole 30 it was an incredible difference!

I have been gluten free for over a year now and will never go back. It is amazing how flat my stomach became just after a few days. I went to Chicago and ate pizza and crab and lots of gluten and in less than 48 hours I could not get into my clothes they were so tight.

Read labels, gluten is in EVERYTHING! Find your triggers, not every gluten product affects me the same. Go 100% then work back in items that you want to keep in your diet to see how they go.

CONGRATS to Will!

Try green tea too! It usually helps me!

Congrats Will! I live gluten free, because I have to, but Dane lives gluten free by choice. We both love it! Because I have to do it, Dane's perspective is probably better than mine. He says that he feels healthier and notices that he is eating less and getting full faster and filling his body with less junk. He has more energy for workouts and doesn't crave sweets like he used to! If you ever need some good recipes, just let me know :) XOX

Yay! Congrats to Will!!

I so feel your pain about the bloating - being 5'2" and barely over 100lbs if I even look at certain foods I start looking bloated. It's such a hassle!
I've been really wanting to look into the gluten free thing and eating healthy.. but ugh I don't know if I could do it :/

My friend's daughter has to go gluten free, but her sister has it worse because not only is she gluten free but she's allergic to rice, eggs, nuts and a couple other things. Oh Celery is a big one.

Bloat? What bloat?! I'm sure what you're feeling is way worse than what it looks like! How hard is going gluten free? I don't know if I could handle that change! I def want to know your thoughts on it. As for dealing with bloating... all I know is water and exercise. Two things I know you're already doing. Super congrats to Will, you guys rock as a team and good luck in the days b/t now and pageant!!!
