One Of Those Days...

I am happy to say that I am sleeping in my own bed tonight, but it wasn't easy getting there.
The day started off easy enough; room service, an hour by the pool, and even a little shopping, and yet, it didn't take long for all of that to turn sour.

First, my flight was delayed to Atlanta.
Even though I knew I wouldn't make my connection, I figured I might as well make it that far. In the rush, I made it all the way to the gate before I realized that I had left a $75 Macy's gift card in the rental car. I had a feeling that they would claim it wasn't there, and still I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When they told me they would "call me back", I went ahead and called Macy's and had the card blocked. I am sooo happy I pulled that receipt out of the gift bag because I never got that callback. If only I could be there to see their face when they try to use it and get DENIED. Loser.

My flight landed at 5:57 and the next was at 6:03, but I hustled over anyway, only to watch them pull the gangway from the plane. It seriously hurt my heart to watch them taxi away without me. I knew that there was no other flight to Colorado Springs for the day and that Denver was oversold.

Three Delta reps, a few tears, and some finagling later...I had a seat on the flight to Denver!
Not only that, but I got a taxi voucher from Denver to Colorado Springs, and recruited two ladies that needed a ride too. They halved the Gratuity with me, and made me feel more safe. Come to find out, their son/grandson had just gotten back from Afghanistan too, which made me feel extra good about helping them so that they didn't get stuck. Kinda makes it all worth it I guess. Sometimes "those days" just happen, and Perception is Everything ;)

Now it's time for me to sleep.
Work is noooot going to be fun tomorrow.
Have a great weekend all!

Define Your Perception, The Dream Tree

**Update**
I spent some time trying to catch up on emails, yesterday.
(Overwhelming, to say the least)
If for any reason you have contacted me and I haven't responded, PLEASE leave a comment or email me again. I will be home tomorrow and will put my blogging nose to the grind to catch up ;)
This is just one of those times, where I am letting life take over, and it feels good.
Ya know what I'm sayin'?

Now you can enjoy my lovely friend Lesley for one more day!

Original Post:

Guess where I am?
Remember when I said that I wasn't leaving?
I got my wish!! I am staying until Thursday ;)

The funny part, is that my grandma (the one that hasn't talked to me since we eloped) is the  one that asked me to stay. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I think she's forgiving me/saying I'm sorry in her own way. FINALLY!

This whole scenario is definitely going to need it's own post, so for now I will introduce you to this awesome friend of mine that is taking over today. I would also like to apologize for any errors in this post. Editing on the tablet is quite difficult. Ugh.

I used to think...
That my life was pretty much going to be lived in my small hometown with my family.  While that's not a bad thing, it was keeping me trapped and comfortable.  I made some wise decisions, had the time of my life, met the man of my dreams and I'm moving on up.

Now I know...
That life is flying by and a person better appreciate every, single, beautiful moment that passes. Sometimes it takes an unfortunate event to make a person realize this, but I know that life is too short and moving way too fast to just settle.  I've got the best husband and we're both on a mission to enjoy life to the fullest and move to the beach as fast as we can.

People see me as...
Both a dumb blonde and a goody-goody.  I am neither.  While I've had my fair share of blonde moments and still do, I'm quite intelligent.  I've also done my fair share of evil things, but overall I'm a pretty good person.

But I hope that they know...
That I'm a unique, free spirit, fun loving, dreamer.  While impatient and highly anxious, I love life and live for every moment.  My days are spent loving my husband, and dogs, while obsessing over hair & makeup, creating projects and crafts, and listening to trance music.  I'm a nurse by day and all sorts of things at nite.

I blog because...
It gives me a chance to share my passions and thoughts.  Yes, it's an outlet, but I love to inspire and be inspired.  I love to learn and I have found the blogging world is an element of its own that I never knew existed.

Come visit my blog and say hello!  I would love to meet you.

She is the one that got the new blog design that I'm obsessed with. Go see for yourself!

As a hint for what I'm doing tonight...it involves Val Kilmer and (supposedly) D.Wade. Needless to say... I'm ready for an exciting evening!

Hehe Did I get'ya?
I'm going to assume I did, because I posted that to Facebook last week and caused all kinds'a raucous.

I'm pretty sure that there are a bunch of family and friends that still think I'm pregnant. Whoops.
It's their own fault for not paying attention to the fact that Will is gone and/or thinking I cheated on him. I'm pretty sure that the haters are showing their true colors by jumping to conclusions.
Haters gon' hate.

Does anyone remember Upsexy?
Best prank text EVER.

I'm Not Coming Back.

Not to brag or anything...
Haha who am I kidding? I am totally going to brag and say that I am still in Florida until tomorrow!
I have spent the weekend exploring all my old haunts, livin' it up at the W Hotel on the Beach, and enjoying some much needed relaxation. I guess I did get a vacation from my last vacation ;)

I parked my butt by that pool as much as I could, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think it has made me decide that we need to live near a pool the next time we move. If I have to be landlocked, I at LEAST need a pool in my life. A tropical climate wouldn't hurt either ;)

a beautiful sunset

Now that you officially hate me, remember that I stayed home, alone, during this whole deployment. I think I deserve a little release before the hubby comes home. I want to make sure I'm not building stress on top of stress while awaiting his return. If that makes sense.

Needless to say...mission accomplished :)
