I feel TRULY honored today, because I am featuring an "idol" of mine!
When I was a wee baby blogger, I stumbled upon Ms. Meg's blog and I have been smitten ever since. I'm sure most of you are familiar with her sweet Southern charm, her gorgeous smile, and her enduring strength and faith. If you are a regular around here, then I am sure that you are used to my Sometimes & Always posts that I link up over at Mackey Madness.
I actually tweeted her to ask for her guest posting services and when she tweeted me back, I was ecstatic!
Did I say all that right? Still learning the Twitter thing...
What surprised me, was that she decided to share about her trip to Baltimore, when I JUST bought my ticket to re-visit Baltimore in June! Such a coincidence.
Or Blog ESP...whatever ;)
You may even recall my last trip to Baltimore, but for now- enjoy my ray of sunshine!

Hi y'all.
I'm Megan and I blog over at Mackey Madness, where I share a little bit about life and love while being married to a country fireman and working as a nurse in the Emergency Room. Yeah, it gets a little interesting. I'm so glad that Janna asked me to guest post for her while she's having fun in the sun. I just adore this little lady...and seriously how gorgeous is she?! It's ridiculous. : )
Since J is at the beach having a fun little vacay, I decided to share a little bit about a time I went on a totally random trip to Baltimore...with a teacher. Now how fun does that sound?!

Since J is at the beach having a fun little vacay, I decided to share a little bit about a time I went on a totally random trip to Baltimore...with a teacher. Now how fun does that sound?!
During nursing school, our school picked two students to go to a huge nursing conference in Baltimore. I was lucky enough to be one of them and a girl that I was semi-friends with was the other. We were both pretty excited because it was somewhere so far away and a chance to get a little break from school. Sounds like a perfectly planned trip, right?! Think again.
The night before the trip, the other student called to tell me that she was sick and wasn't going to be able to make the trip. She literally cancelled on me less than 12 hours before we were scheduled to leave. So guess what that meant? I'd be going alone...with a teacher.
After immediately bursting into tears and declaring that I wasn't going either, my mom forced me to I put my big girl pants on and prepared for my trip...with my teacher...alone.
I still remember how nervous I was as my mom dropped me off at the airport that morning. I kept thinking, "What on Earth am I going to talk to my teacher about for three days straight?" We had to fly together, stay in the same hotel room together and basically be together 24/7. I was prepared for some totally awkward moments.
In all actuality, it ended up being a pretty amazing trip! We had conferences all day and my teacher was really relaxed and let me spend a lot of time exploring the area on my own. I'm pretty independent, so I loved being a tourist. I got to see so many beautiful places and I really am so glad that I went. Don't get me wrong...there were some awkward moments. (Like when my teacher snored ALL night long and I couldn't sleep!) But overall, it was pretty dang wonderful.
Awkward alone pictures.
We got to tour the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing...sounds dorky, but it was AMAZING!!
Next time an opportunity arises, I'm going to try not to be SUCH a baby if things don't go perfectly. We will see how that goes. Haha. : ) Thanks for having me, Janna!
