I Can't Wrap My Head Around It...

Tell me, how has January flown by already? Not to mention, how has so much happened in such a short period? Seriously...mind-blowing. Based on how things are going so far, I'm leaving 2013 behind as the last year of what I thought was my youth, and now I seem to be headed towards a year of rebirth.

+ The impending move
+ Will's new job
+ A new balance in our relationship
+ Taking the time to find myself
+ Overall transition

Change is terrifying, and yet everything seems to be falling in to place. I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that I think this means that we are right where we are supposed to be in our life. I still don't have a career at 28, but Will says that I'm not 'allowed' to stay at Hooters, because it's my turn to take my time figuring out who and what I want to be. More importantly. he demands that I not stress about a thing.

This is why I married this man...
He's the only one that can boss me around and doesn't bow down, which fits my theory that women don't really want the bad guy. They want a take charge kind'a guy and one they can't manipulate. An equal, but one that we can look to with the problems that seem impossible. Cue cheesiness: He's not just my husband, he's my hero ;)

Three days left, and I'm out of a j-o-b. Or as Will puts it, I'll be taking care of him, and that really is a full time job. I'm looking forward to the challenge!

PS. You can get a double dose today, so head over to Sparkles and Shoes! Kelly had surgery, so go wish her well.

Change is scary and hard, but you have a loving husband behind, in front and beside you all the way. Trust in Him to guide you during this time of transition.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! So exciting lady! I totally agree with you, women want a man that will challenge them when they NEED to be challenged, but that we know love us too!

That Will is a good one and I'm so excited for you and your new adventure. Figure out what you want to do! xoxo

change is definitely scary! but during this whole process, you do learn a lot about yourself - especially how mentally strong you are. enjoy the ride :) sometimes the feeling of security is overrated; these changes and feelings of unease are the things that stories and memories are made of :)

Some of the best changes are "forced" upon us. I got let go from a job I thought I loved only to find one that I really did love, made me extraordinarily happy, crazy busy and on the go, and introduced me to some of the most amazing people.

When that was no longer good for me, I was again "forced" to leave and came to a job that gave me time to find me again. I don't love my work now, but I love that I have time to do what I'd like and what I do love doing.

Good luck with this change. I think it'll end up being awesome. :)

You're absolutely right. I want a man that will lead me and lead me well, challenge me and support me...not a man I can manipulate and I'm thankful for my husband, too! Good for you for getting this opportunity to care for your man and figure out your next steps! Excited to see what you figure out :)

I'm with you on the change being scary part, but it can also be really awesome (once you get over the scary stuff). I'm sure this next chapter will be awesome for you both!

I'm older then you and I still don't have a career! I'm kinda over it but I hope you find what you are looking for. I think it's great that you have a man willing to allow you to just "be" so you can figure it out.

Change can be so scary, but I think it is kind of exciting that you get to figure out where your passions are, and how to turn them into a career. It is good to see you have a strong man by your side to push you when you need it.

Change is scary, but you can learn so much about yourself in the experience. I loved when my husband let me quit my job in December 2011, so I could pursue my dreams in 2012 (but later quit and found a more traditional job). Here I am now trying again...

I think you'll shine during this time. Supportive husbands rock!

change is super hard for me! I'd be happy for things to stay the same most of the time! but I do know it is good and has to happen to move onto the next phases of life. That is exciting that you're ready (or ready as you will be?) to figure out what's nxt!
