This is sad.. and life is always going to give us lemons.. I'll tell you what you do-- coming from someone who has suffered the loss of the son and is living with a mother that has a serious form of cancer that is in remission. You live each and every moment of the rest of your life making sweet memories. You never let another second of your life pass you by without telling the people you care about that you love them. You treasure the simple things in life that make you smile; the things that make you stop and look twice, getting your attention because for some small reason they seem to strike a cord with you. And sadly, as we grow, we are going to lose so many special and wonderful people and it's going to hurt so very bad-- but you have to remember to be proactive in your grief, keep their memory alive, and do things that remind people that they are still with us.. in our hearts, our souls, and in the light breeze that gives us chills and brings back memories of times that didn't hurt or bring sad tears. Please take gentle care of yourself-- my prayers are here for you. "That which we have once enjoyed, we never lose. All that we deeply love becomes a part of us."

Yeah, I'm with you on the cancer thing. I'm so sorry, it just doesn't seem fair. What a wonderful life I'm sure she's had, and that you've been a bright spot for her in that life. I lost one of my friends this October. I had talked to her about a week before or so. She had a bunch of heart problems, and had complications with one of her surgeries. :-(
