The weekend started with me ordering my own Valentine's Day present:
I have been looking for the perfect boots for two years, so when I found them on Friday I knew they were mine. I cannot wait until Thursday when they arrive!
I also almost bought a Horse-drawn Carriage ride on Living Social, but decided it wouldn't be romantic if I had to tell the hubby to buy it and even less so if I bought it for myself.
Love, I know you are reading this, and this is not a hint. It would still count as me telling you, so don't try and read between the lines or anything.
Hopefully I will be in a better mood by then because it's been kind of an off weekend. This is probably why I ended up drinking at the beer fest on Saturday, (Alcoholic, much?) and I know it doesn't seem abnormal to drink at a beer festival, but if you know me...you know that I am not a drinker. Like at all.
We drove up into the Mountains for the Bierworks Winter Beer Fest, and the day drinking commenced at 2PM. Day drinking happens to be the only type of drinking I like, by the way. That way, you can go to bed early and sleep it off.
That guy in the red shirt? He carded me and then asked who made my fake ID.
I still think he wasn't kidding, but hey, I'm used to it.
As the hours progressed {four to be exact}, it was a race to the finish. Apparently, this was supposed to be a tasting, but those tiny glasses didn't stop us! Most of the guys double up on glasses, and it was party on. I found one beer I liked, so I just kept visiting that table. They figured it out quickly, so when I would walk up they would just fill me up. It was quite convenient.
I rode in the backseat on the way home for two reasons:
A) I wanted to sit next to my man.
B) I knew the boys would start fighting and thought maybe I could stop it.
I was wrong on both accounts.
Will was too drunk to even notice I was there, and they simply fought around me. On the way home from dinner, I was bruised enough smart enough to call shotgun.
Ps. Sorry for the poor picture quality. My camera no longer takes decent pictures indoors, so iPhone it is. Merr.
Since I didn't really have a Valentine's to recap, I've seen this floating around this weekend, and yay for convenience.
1. Best Valentines Day you’ve ever had:
The one two days after I got this baby on my hand...
2. Worst Valentines Day you’ve ever had:
I usually have good ones, single or not, but this year was kinda lame, and two years ago sucked because Will was away at training.
3. What did you do for Valentines this year?
Worked. We made dinner. We watched Flight.
That movie is NOT romantic.
4. Best Valentines Idea if you’re single:
We used to go to Sports Bars with a group of girls or singles in general, and we would have the whole place to ourselves. We had a blast and caused some shenanigans.
5. Favorite Valentines Candy?
I love Cookie Cakes, but I'll take anything chocolate too. Hello fondue!
6. Favorite Valentines Memory from your childhood:
My parents always had little gifts and cards waiting for us when we woke up. It was such a great way to start the day, and I will always remember them as my first and best Valentines ;)
I will be in a better mood, I will be in a better mood, I will be in a better mood, I will be in a better mood, I will be in a better mood, I will be in a better mood.

Cute boots, love them!! :)
Oh my gosh, Janna. I absolutely LOVE those boots!! Love that he thought you had a fake ID, ha!
Sweet boots!
I am a VDay hater. In fact, February itself can go scratch. I feel like I'm in a bad mood most of February. Not enough sunlight and too much cold.
Love those boots
I love boots. I bought myself a pair this weekend! I also did some drinking on Saturday. I don't know how many shots of vodka I had... Maybe 10-15. I lost count lol. I usually don't do that hehe
Day drinking is the only way to go. after 8pm I drink and fall asleep.
Cute boots! Sorry for the "off weekend"... no fun. :( I hope this week is much better for you!
Those boots are too cute! I love beer fests I think they are blast.. my parents went to some wine tasting on Sunday and my Dad came home too drunk and so annoying haha. Hope you chin up sweet girl and thanks for linking up :)
Such rowdy boys. I am a drinker and I love beer but it's been so long since I had any. Ha! If you read my V Day re cap you will see that mine was way lamer then yours. Hopefully that will make you feel better.
A beer fest sounds like a blast!
Glad you found the perfect boots! :]
Your ring is stunning!

Happy Valentines a litte late lovely,
xoxo
Ha, Flight isn't romantic at all... Best trailer, (not worst, but not fav) movie.
Our parents did the same thing. My little sister is a teacher and made my us all "homemade valentines." It was pretty great. In return my mom got us all a really fun (aka Lindor chocolates) gift and nic-nacks.
Awesome.
Sounds like maybe you were engaged on Feb 12? If Vday was 2 days later??
My valentines consisted of a frozen pizza and bed. I have a cold and figured snot wasn't romantic. But a good ole fashion bar room brawl would have been pretty awesome.
