I Got A Boob Job

J/k, but seriously...the new birth control has filled me out in a few of the wrong places, but ALL of the right places. I don't know how long it will last, but I will enjoy Will's new interest in his old toys while keepin' the love alive. Plus I had to find some way to distract him and get his mind off the thirty maps he had to trace to get ready for his next leg of flight training. I have to say, these maps are the devil, and if I never see a lightboard again, I will be happy.

+ At the end of today, I will have Will all to myself for the next FIFTEEN days. Well, technically I have to share him with the fam for Christmas, but at least there will be no work or stress for fifteen whole days. The Army most certainly takes him away more than I like, but I sure am grateful when he gets two weeks off for the holidays.

+ I have been trying to be 'good' this holiday season, but momma makes cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning, and lezbihonest...no one turns down egg nog, Christmas Eve dinner, or Christmas morning cinnamon rolls. This is totally going to be my face when the food comes out:

+ It's funny, all I'm really craving is ham. I think we might have to make one for our mini Christmas we will have when we get back from the 'rentals. Will makes some honey mustard glaze that is BOMB.COM, and I can't live without it in the near future. Honey...take note.

+ Last but not least, we have a date with our real estate agent to look at houses Monday! We've actually gotten pre-approved by two financial institutions, so now we just have to figure out which to go with. Have any of you gone through USAA for a Traditional Mortgage? I've heard they take a long time, which isn't ideal, but they are giving us a better APR and what appears to be lower fees. Any experience good or bad would be great!

Hooray for 15 days with your love, so happy you have him home for Christmas.

Super excited you're looking at homes. That is SOOOO STINKIN' excited and I can't wait to hear all about it. I know it's a long process, but I know you'll find the best house out there. I'm so stoked for you and other friends that are looking for homes, that's just so fabulous!

Love you, sweet friend!

We did a VA loan through USAA and that actually didn't take long at all. I've heard a traditional mortgage through them is a pretty quick process.

We started out with USAA but then ended up switching to BOFA. They did take long and there was something they didn't like that was going to be a problem for the loan so in the end we got incentives BOFA. I have never had a reaction like that to bc!

15 days with the husband will be SO nice, and much deserved for the two of you. Lots of time for him to maintain interest in the "fun bags" hahah
There are so many yummy temptations this time of year. I'm trying to be good, too but sometimes it's SO hard!!

Can't wait to hear about your home buying process and eventually see which home you decide to get! It's a scary/fun/exciting/nerve-wracking process but totally worth it in the end!! Good luck!

Good luck with the home-buying process!

For our first house, we used another broker and ended up refinancing with USAA and then for the house we just bought in DC, we went straight through USAA and they easily had everything done and ready to go in 30 days. We like having everything in once place and have been happy with their customer service.Good luck!

We went with USAA using the VA Loan, which we were told can take longer than normal. But that wasn't the case. The moment we had a paper (or few) to sign and fill out and it helped the process to move quickly. We actually bought a brand new house (builder inventory that was 80% finished when we found it) and the bank/USAA was ready to close in 3; days but we were still waiting on the slow ass contractors to finish the house so it took 45 days but not because of USAA

Are yall going to be in the AL area longer, were your going to buy a house now? We have everything with USAA expect our house because it was just to long of a ordeal to go with them, which totally bums me out bc I would have rather. But We're happy with things now. Good Luck, excited to see what the future holds for yalL!!!
