Back To Reality

Some might say that kicking off the New Year right will set the tone of the whole year.
If this is the case, then I am going to have one heck of a year.
For the first time in nine years I got to be with my family, in my home town, and have my lover by my side. I can honestly say, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well...I wouldn't mind this for next year:

Unfortunately, we have found ourselves back in Colorado.
I am definitely missing home already, but at least I still have my lover.
He is my home now, and as cheesy as that sounds, it is most definitely true.
Especially post deployment.

How did yours start off?

Happy New Year!! I love Paris! If you get a chance to see the fireworks there for New Years, you should hang out on the Champ de Mar (it's the grassy area behind the Eiffel Tower). If you can't afford to go for New Year's, they have a super awesome fireworks show for Bastille Day (July 14th). If you want, I have some pictures from that show :) Good luck making it to Paris!!!

I'm glad you had an amazing Christmas Holiday and New Year. That is the best way to start off a new year. Back to work! BOO. Thank goodness it was a short one. I'm already dying for the weekend and I'm not even sure how that is possible already.
