We will be having a relaxing morning and then heading to Canyon City to Zip-line over the Royal Gorge!  We were just going to Veg all day, but we're trying to squeeze in as many outdoor activities as we can before it gets cold!  #fallisuponus

Elitch Gardens Amusement Park!

I'm sure y'all are all aware that it is Labor day weekend...

 

And yes, that means time for fun and/or relaxation!  I'm hoping we do a lil bit of both.  

Well, I'd like a LOT of relaxation, but we have a lot of fun things planned and I'm ok with fun, too! 

We kicked off the weekend by going to Elitch Gardens, which has a theme park AND a  waterpark, then the Taste of Colorado (a food and beverage festival), hopefully (weather permitting) The Colorado Springs Balloon Classic on today and who knows on Monday...

Girls Weekend: Destination South Florida

One of the best and relaxing weekends I've had in a long time...Florida puts me at ease and more importantly-giving myself to Dani for the weekend meant that for once- I didn't have to plan ANY of it.  For anyone that knows me, I'm usually the one that has to plan EVERYTHING, so this was a nice respite!

Reuniting with old friends at JB's on the Beach for drinks!!

Such a lovely family!  They took great care of me this weekend!

I love being reunited.

I love that Dani is graduated, so that we can travel again.

Sad to leave Florida, but happy to be home with the HUBS!!

Dani's Graduating!

I am so proud of one of my bestest-est friends, and I apologize- but I have to brag on her ;)  

Today, she is graduating from her Vascular Sonography Program at Nova Southeastern University, which makes her kind of a big deal!

Through college and sorority days to spring breaks and heart breaks- we have been there for each other.  We have such an unassuming friendship that knows not of hate, unfairness or jealousy and has only grown stronger since we have been separated by thousands of miles.  Well, maybe not stronger, but it's enabled me to see how unyielding our friendship is despite the conditions.

In a nut shell:

She's the cheese to my mac, the mint to my chocolate and the whipped cream that tops my strawberries!

I hope that you all have a best friend that is half as good as she has become <3
