I would like to introduce you all to the soldier that caused all the hubbub.
Meet Fonz....
Does he look threatening to you?
I think not.
I am pleased to share that although the bar iscovering their ass not admitting fault, they have extended an apology and has thanked Fonz for his service! They also invited us up there, but I told them that we would NOT be gracing them with our presence.
They didn't push the subject after that.
Apparently, we rattled them so much so that they had to get their lawyers involved. I call it a win.
We couldn't have accomplished all this without all the support of our friends and family, so thank you to all that participated and/or supported us. All of your comments count ;)
Seriously though, you should have seen what Bethany sent to their corporate.
She burned them GOOD.
Just another reason that I love that girl ;)
Do you know what else I realized?
I never shared the pictures from when we had a double date snowboarding with Fonz and Christin!

So who's coming to visit for ski season next year?
Sometimes: Standing up for something or someone can be daunting.
Always: That high you get from doing what's right is worth it every time!
Sometimes: Killing someone with kindness is the best option.
Always: You catch more bees with honey.
In our case, we killed them, but then finished them off with kindness.
Our form of reverse psychology.
Sometimes: My blood sugar gets out of whack when I get too excited.
Always: I'd rather be passionate than have stable sugar levels.
Sometimes: You lose followers when you post anything controversial.
Always: Sorry, I'm not sorry.
I'm standing up for something. What was the last thing you stood up for?
(And unfollowing me DOES NOT count as standing up for anything)
For those of you that continue to stick around my blog- You make my life.
I don't know where I would be without y'all.
I'll come up, but I don't know about the skiing part ha!
ReplyDeleteIm glad to hear they sent their apology, but I'm with you I wouldn't have gone wither.
ReplyDeleteI'll be up next winter for a trip down the slopes :) lol
Someone unfollowed you for doing something about it? That's crazy!!! If we see someone being wronged, we have to stand up for them!! That's how you an make a difference.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for standing up for what you believe in. If other people can't handle that then you don't want them around anyway. Glad everything worked out for your friend.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that I've NEVER seen snow?!
ReplyDeleteCrazzzzzy...I really need to get on that!
Happy Tuesday!
xo
Good for you girlie!
ReplyDeleteSO PROUD!!!

GREAT JOB! Way to put the heat on 'em! And thank you FONZ!
ReplyDeleteI can totally see Bethany doing something like that!! I'm so glad that things worked out and you got a rise outta them. I read your fb posts and that's just ridiculous!! He's definitely lucky to have a friend like you :) You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they finally apologized! They clearly messed with the wrong woman! haha. And don't tempt me to come ski!
ReplyDeleteI call it a win too! I'm glad they apologized it's the least they can do.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe someone unfollowed you for that. WOW!
Why to stand up for what's right!!
<3 FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rock my socks off! I love having friends like you! Wish there were more people who stood up for what they believed in and for their friends. The world would be a much better place!
I call it a win too! Awesome. And do you know I've never been skiing? I get cold so darn easy...don't know if I could handle it.
ReplyDeleteapparently people are afraid of controversy!
ReplyDeleteI think it is so awesome that you made them realize how innapropriate they are!! I will never go there and I have let all my friends in Denver know as well. A place like that does not deserve our money! I love snowboarding! If you are down we should go sometime this winter :)
ReplyDeletePeople stopped following you because you supported this guy? Frankly, I think that's UN-AMERICAN!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day :)
You lost followers for that?! Well oh well, right?! I'm still here! Proud of you for standing up for a hero! I haven't been skiing in SO SO long!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up, love!
I can't even fathom what would make people un-follow you about this situation. They hate people, maybe? :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog layout and the Henry David Thoreau quote. Cute pictures today too! Thanks for linking up again today! I love following you. I am your newest follower. Check out my Sometimes & Always @ http://mostwhatmatters.blogspot.com.

ReplyDeleteStanding up for what you believe in is important. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny that some would unfollow you over this. Oh well... Thank you for standing up for what you believe in and not backing down.
ReplyDeleteGood. I'm glad you're not sorry for standing up for what you believe in! So happy that it worked out!
ReplyDeleteIf you dont stand for something you fall for anything!!
