A Date With My Stylist!

Y'all know I talked about getting a haircut for months, and it finally happened!

I had promised Christin that I would be a practice dummy while she was still in school, so I just had to wait until our schedules lined up.

Thank goodness they did, because I was startin' to look a little scraggly. When your hair is touching your bootay- it's too long for me!

I can't even believe that I am allowing that photo on Facebook, but you need it to get the full effect. Haha.

Just remember- that was after a LONG day at work...
Don't judge.

So anyways, two Wednesdays ago, I headed to Paul Mitchell in downtown Colorado Springs, and was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was!

It has a great vibe when you walk in, the staff was very helpful and they even had student art for sale.  I feel like cosmetologists should be creative and artsy, so that made perfect sense to me.

We didn't waste much time gettin' started, so before I knew it- I was washed, Awapuhi treated, and ready for Christin to test her skills.  I probably should have been nervous, but I knew that I was in good hands.

Within an hour, that girl had me all primped and ready for my trip home!

I am still thinking about Locks Of Love, so keeping it as long as possible.
If I'm gonna have to cut 10 inches, I'm going to need all the length I can get!
Then it might be back to Paul Mitchell ;)

One more EXTREMELY- VERY- MUCHO- important favor...
My Grandma is having surgery today, and I need all your thoughts and prayers. I have every faith that she will be just fine, but this is an intense surgery, followed by a hospital stay.
While you are at it- pray that she gets her own room...
She is determined to have her privacy, and I wouldn't put it past her to stay ill out of spite
if she has to share.
She's a spitfire that one....But that's why I know she will be just fine.

P.S. You asked about my novel...yes, I just finished writing a novel! :) editing it now before I try sending it out to publishing agents!
