I Hope I Make It Through This Week...

Well y'all, I am smack dab in the middle of a VERY interesting week.

Here is the breakdown:

Saturday
+Worked an MMA fight.
+Followed by a Going Away party for Ashley @ WanderLustMe!

She is the one in the middle, top row.  She bought a one way ticket to Europe, and is starting a Travel Blog adventure! Sounds phenomenal, right?
Bish.

Wednesday
I have a BLATE planned with Zara from Eat, Shop and be Married, while on the way to Denver for a quick work trip. We will be having a lovely coffee date, that I have been looking forward to for weeks!  Can you believe it? Two meet-ups in two weeks!
*Sidenote: Will asked why I was stopping on the way to Denver and when I told him that I was meeting up with Zara, he said- and I quote- "Two Blates in two weeks? Aren't you popular..."
I love knowing that he actually pays attention when I talk about blog stuff!

Thursday
Big event followed by a big night out downtown.
Most of you probably know that I don't drink, but I promised the girls that I would this night.
We have a party bus and a hotel, so I figured "Why not?"
I will be taking one of these, though:

I get REALLY bad hangovers, so let's hope this works like it did in college.
*Crossing my fingers*

Since we are going to stay at The Curtis, Weiser gets to come too!
They are dog friendly, which is why it is one of my favorite hotels. Plus it's gorgeous.

Friday
Come home and die, because I can't hang anymore.
Oh, AND I'll be announcing the winner of the Giveaway!
(You have until then to enter, so feel free)

OK, so I know I talked about work a lot, and VERY FEW of you know where that is....
Simply put- it's because, thus far, I have chosen to keep it to myself.
My main reason is because I try to keep this blog light, and I don't want anyone to categorize me based on a job, but now I have also realized that for safety reasons, I'd rather not put every detail of my life out there. If you follow me through other avenues FacebookTwitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc., you may just figure it out, but for now- that's it!
I will tell you that the "Event" in Denver is a Pageant.
MAYBE I'll tell you more about it later ;)

Wish me luck this week, I'm gonna need it!

Surprise!!

I'm having a giveaway!

And it's on someone else's dime. Score.

I was contacted by Campusbookrentals.com, and although I'm not in school, I know some of you are!
Do you know how mad I am that they didn't have this when I was in school?
I had to break the bank BUY all my books each semester.
Wanna know what I use them for now?

As a freakin' makeshift step stool to get to high objects.  That's probably a $300 step stool.
SO sad.

I was also pretty intrigued that they support worthy causes each year and right now they are supporting Operation Smile. I ALWAYS want to support companies that give back...The ones who don't are just greedy, and greedy is so out these days :)

So what did I score y'all?

$25 to your Paypal to use on whatever you want!!

I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to keep that for myself, but decided that I wanted to thank all of you for being my loyal followers... As such, I'm not even going to have ANY mandatory entries.  A simple comment of "Show me the $$" will get you in. Hehe.

I won't complain if you get bonus entries by:
+Following my Facebook
+Follow me on Twitter
+Tweet and/or Blog about it.

If you do the bonus entries, leave extra comments accordingly!

So that's it! Enter away and then go check out Campusbookrentals.com.
Contest will be open for one week until Friday, May 4th, 2012.

I also wanted to share a picture of my backyard:

{It's ok if you are jealous}

Have a great weekend y'all and good luck!

"Oldest Living Couple On Earth"

Recently, a blogger that I went to high school with, Erika, posted this link on love,
and I am so glad I checked it out!

Who better to ask Love advice, than the "Oldest Living Couple" in the world, with 85 years of marriage under their belts.

Here are my favorite bits from Herbert and Zelmyra:

Divorce was NEVER an option.
Respect, support & communicate with each other. Be faithful, honest & true. Love each other with ALL of your heart.
Remember marriage is not a contest- never keep score.

"Everyone who plants a seed & harvests the crop celebrates together"
We are individuals, but accomplish more together.

I did a little time traveling and took a picture of Will and I when we are OLDER than Herbie and Zel, and break their record...

We look good for 110 and 111, right?

In other news:
I won my FIRST giveaway this week, as well as my SECOND!
That's right folks- both in one week!

Kelly @ Messy Dirty Hair surprised me first, and then Lesley @ My Lively Mind the next day!
I had JUST been thinking that I would never win and BAM!
I guess I had extra good karma ;)

Ps. I have a little surprise up my sleeve for tomorrow...Don't miss out!

He Done Good.

I was definitely a bit sad yesterday without Will here, but he made sure that he was here in spirit!
He sent me some VERY thoughtful presents and did something that completely blew me away...

In all their glory:

Can you even believe it?  The man just never ceases to amaze me!

I had gone to eat and enjoy a little shopping with my brother friend Anthony, and those are what I came home to. There was also an Edible Arrangement, and I didn't know what was from whom until I saw the color of those flowers. The instant I saw them, I knew they had to be from my lover.

The white chocolate covered strawberries were from my father-in-law...Hmmm...
I wonder where my hubby gets it? ;)

Oh, and he had the sweetest FB status EVER, last night:

"It makes me happy, that I'm happy, when I can make her happy..."

*Le Sigh....

One other thing TRULY made my day when I was being a grumpy butt yesterday morning.
My lovely Bethany, wrote some very sweet things about me, and I think you should all A) go see how awesome she thinks I am, and B) go see how awesome she is!!

Doesn't she just look like the coolest chick ever?

Love ya girl!

Thank you SO much for all the love yesterday.  You are all what helped me get through the day alone, and I really don't know what I would do without all of y'all.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

Two Years Into Forever....

What makes this Tuesday so special?

#1 Sometimes & Always-Duh

But most importantly.....

Our Two Year Anniversary!

I truly can't believe that it has already been two years since we were married, and yet, it feels like we have been together forever...

While sunning in Florida with my Daddy, I started thinking about how long we've been together, and I don't know where this came from, but I started thinking about percentages.
As of right now our percentage is low:  15% , but as time goes on that percentage will obviously rise.  If we live to ninety or beyond we will have spent at least 75% of our lives together. I'm sure this is a silly way to look at things, but it makes me excited. It's ok, you can call me a dork ;)

In the past two years, we:

~Got married~

~Joined the Military. He, as a soldier, and me- an Army Wife.~

(PS. He hates this photo, because the uniform they issued him was too big, so don't judge ;)

~Lived in Augusta, GA. for his A.I.T.~

~Moved to Colorado for our first Duty Station~

~We adopted Weiser~

~Had tons of fun~

~And are now enduring our first Deployment~
One Skype conversation at a time....

*Le Sigh.....

Sometimes: People think that they never want to get married. Ahem...Will...
Always: When you meet the love of your life- you change your mind.

Sometimes: People think that marriage is boring.
Always: We challenge that stereotype every day.

Sometimes: Some say marriage is hard.
Always: Ours is more amazing with each passing day, so I must disagree.
We are a team and together, we conquer all.

Sometimes: This deployment can be a bit trying.
Always: As I have said before, I'd rather endure deployments, than to not have him in my life.
Nine months is nothing compared to forever together <3

William Bogert, I couldn't be more proud of you and am even more proud to be your wife.
I can't believe we found "Happily Ever After..."

And in my case, my hero also cooks, cleans AND treats my like a princess.
That's why he really is a super hero...

I only wish that he could be here to celebrate, and by celebrate I mean that I will be vegging all DAY.
I keep saying that I will have a relaxing day off and DANG IT, today I really will!

Thanks for stopping by today lovelies...it means the world.

UM....PS. Go check out my post on Basically Mrs. Behavin'! Bethany seriously made my day!

My Second Blate!

Quite some time ago, Aim High Erin and I figured out that we live in the SAME town!
I'm not sure why we are only just meeting up, but since we live in the same neighborhood, it was inevitable that would would HAVE to have a Blate.

I'm pretty sure that Blate's and Fro-Yo go hand in hand, so that's what we did!

We fixed up our yogurt and then grabbed a seat on the patio, since Weiser came along too.
The weather did look a little questionable, but in true Colorado fashion- the sun came right out!

Once we got to talkin', the conversation just flowed, and we had a lot to talk about between blogging adventures, our #milspouse statuses, and married life.  One thing we didn't have in common? Height.
I'm talkin' homegirl is runway model tall, and I quit growing in middle school.
For example, here is the first attempt at a picture of us:

I still can't believe that we live SO close to each other, which means that another meet up is
probably in the cards...Erin, have you tried that Chinese place over there?
I'll meet you there anytime!

Weiser even said that he'll be happy to hang out again!
Or...er...he would- if he wasn't zonked out right now. Haha.

Y'all please come back Tuesday, because it's a special day for me <3
I'll need your love, since Will won't be here.

PS. Check out my first Blate too!

Pensacola Beach

I am sad to say that these are my last pictures edited by Picnik...
Does anyone else feel like something died?
RIP PICNIK!

Moving on.

To get you ready for the weekend, I'll share my Pensacola Beach pictures!
Let me just say, Pensacola has the purdiest beaches you've ever laid eyes on...You just can't beat that sugar white- soft as baby powder- sand!

These pictures will speak for themselves.....

This stud-muffin would be my daddy <3

So that was father/daughter hangout day, but we also had a family day!

And now my two favorites of the day:

#1 On this day, April 1st, 2012, I discovered that my baby brother had ARMPIT hair.  I'm not sure why it surprised me so, but it did!  I kept flipping out until he started walking around like this:

Marc- you may need some man-scaping!
Haha

And #2- I am fascinated by this picture:

Edited or unedited, it was such a great capture...the precious little girl, the seagulls, the crystal blue waters...it takes my breath away.

This is why I say  that Pensacola is food for the soul <3

~Have a GREAT weekend, y'all~

Sock Bun & DIY Fringe

Good morning Beautifuls!
It's been an interesting week thus far...

+I've been having a blast orchestrating the Care Packages
+Cleaned the shizznit out of my house on Tuesday
{I'm talking baseboards, crawl space, pulling EVERYTHING out of the cabinets, and laundry}
+I tried the sock bun:

I liked the way it looked, but it was so heavy that it gave me a headachae...
Maybe I'll try the lower version at the nape of the neck.

+I guest posted about Florida over @ 2 Cats & A Chloe!
+Started working on a DIY Fringe bikin!
Cross your fingers that it works out!

+Got an award from Andrea @ Left brain, right brain, pug brain!
Who has become a new favorite of mine <3
+ Sent P!nky a Birthday card that would have made it on time, if I had remembered to put a stamp the first time 'round. Whoops!
All that matters, is that she loved it!
+Finally got caught up with ALL my emails...let's see how long this lasts...

I hope that your weeks are as productive as mine.
Or relaxing...relaxing is fun too ;)
Have a great day, my dears!
